Bee Well by Wendy (https://beewellbywendy.com/) is family of gardeners, beekeepers and a scientist (me!) creating topical formulae from herbs grown in our garden paired with essential oils to maximize medicinal benefit. We study the properties and varied extraction processes of the medicinal herbs we grow (such as calendula, comfrey, borage, valerian, lavender, yarrow, marshmallow, St John's wort and so many more!) which our bees appreciate as much as we do. Dried herbs are slowly infused into beneficial oils over three or more months. Beeswax from our apiary is solar melted and filtered then blended with the infusions. In this discussion I will provide an overview of at home herbal medicine making utilizing beeswax and garden herbs. I will lead a demonstration on making a general healing salve as well as a limoncello recipe using honey (always a holiday favorite)! I also want to tell you about my new adventure, Botanica (https://botanicanurseryandgardens.com/) and how this fits into beekeeping and gardening, and hopefully some of you can tell me your experience about 'red honey'!
